SUMMARY
This article explains how long students have to sit their Polestar qualification exam after completing their course, and what is required if that deadline is missed. It applies to all students enrolled in Polestar certification programs through Polestar Pilates Asia.

If you did not pass your first exam attempt:

EXTENSION POLICY — DELAY BEYOND THE 1-YEAR VALIDITY PERIOD
If your exam sit date will exceed 1 year from your final course module, the following requirements apply based on how long past the deadline you are.
ℹ️ Curriculum change note: The policy below applies only where the curriculum and exam have not changed during the delayed period. If the curriculum or exam has been updated, a full course retake is required regardless of the delay period.
0–6 months past the 1-year deadline
No module resit or additional mentoring required.
6–12 months past the 1-year deadline
Mentoring sessions required (no module resit).
13–24 months past the 1-year deadline
One module retake plus extended mentoring required.
24–36 months past the 1-year deadline
Two pathways available — students may choose either:
Path A
Path B
💡 PPA recommends Path B for delays beyond 30 months, given the competency risk associated with extended time away from training.
36+ months past the 1-year deadline
Full course retake required (Non-Gateway modules) at 50% resit discount. No exceptions.
