From January 2027, Polestar Pilates Asia qualification courses run an updated structure, aligned to Polestar's current international curriculum. This article explains what is different, how to tell which structure you are on, and — most importantly — what does not change.
Polestar periodically updates how it teaches. It does not change what a Polestar graduate is.
Students who qualify on the current structure and students who qualify on the 2027 structure hold the same qualification, assessed to the same standard, and are equally fully accredited Polestar practitioners. There is no old qualification and no new qualification. There is one Polestar qualification.
Your course start date decides it, and nothing else:
It is your cohort's start date that matters — not the date you enrolled, and not which host studio you train with. No Polestar Pilates Asia host is running the 2027 structure before 1 January 2027.
These are changes to the shape of the course, the order in which the material is met, and the books you learn from.
Nothing is being asked of you, and nothing about your training becomes out of date.
Your qualification stands, permanently. You are a Polestar graduate, your certificate carries no expiry date, and nothing about the 2027 structure changes either of those things.
If you would like to meet the new material, that is what continuing education is for — and Polestar has done this before. When the curriculum was last updated, we offered graduates a short update course. We are looking at doing the same for this update, most likely centred on the Principles of Movement day, which would count towards your Continuing Education Credits. Nothing is confirmed yet, so please do not plan around it — but do tell us if you would like to be notified when it is.
In the meantime, all the usual routes to CECs remain open, including re-taking any module at a 50% discount. See Continuing Education and Requalification.
Polestar has always treated qualification as the beginning of a professional education rather than the end of one, which is why graduates earn Continuing Education Credits every two years rather than re-sitting an examination. What comes into the curriculum reaches everyone — through the course if you are studying, through continuing education if you have already qualified.
Course fees, module sets and early-bird dates vary by course and by host, and what applies to you depends on your own record. For anything specific — which modules you still need, what a course costs, what your options are — please ask us rather than working it out from this article.
Write to info@polestarpilatesasia.com and we will look at your own record with you.
