Polestar Exam FAQ

Polestar Exam FAQ

Polestar Pilates qualifications are designed to bring you to a level of mastery, preparing you to become a competent Pilates Practitioner in the training method of your choice (Studio, Mat, Reformer and Rehabilitation). Polestar's competency exams measure your ability to justify your exercise selections or treatment plan.

Eligibility

  • You must complete the full course (in-person and online modules).
  • You must show proof of a fully completed logbook, with the last page signed off by a Polestar Educator. This requires you to fulfil all the supplementary hours.
  • Most students take about six months to prepare, but you can register at any time your Educator/Mentor feels you are ready and the required sections of your logbook are complete. You have 1 year from the date of your final course module by which to sit the exam.

What is the exam validity period?

You are required to sit your exam within 1 year of your final course module, and different requirements apply if that deadline passes. For the full rules — validity, retake timing, and the extension policy — see Exam Validity Period & Extension Policy.

What is the registration process?

  • Students who wish to sit the Polestar Qualification Examination (Mat, Reformer, Comprehensive Studio and Comprehensive Rehabilitation) register by completing and submitting the Polestar Exam Application form to their Host.
  • The form is obtainable from your Host and should be submitted no later than 3 months before the scheduled exam date.
  • At the time of application, you should have completed at least 70% of your log sheets. Applications with less than this may be rejected.
  • To register: (1) register and pay online via our registration platform; (2) submit the exam registration form signed off by an Educator/Mentor confirming you are eligible (logbook at least 70% complete). Only once these are received and acknowledged will you be placed on the exam list.
  • To actually sit the exam, you must show proof of a fully completed logbook, with the last page signed off by a Polestar Educator.
