Which applies to you?
Polestar Pilates Asia is running two course structures side by side while the new curriculum comes in. Look at your course schedule:
If your first module is Principles of Movement, you are on the 2027 curriculum. If your first module is a Gateway course (Gateway Mat, Gateway Reformer, Gateway Equipment), you are on the 2026 structure.
Everything below applies to both unless it says otherwise. If you are unsure, check with your host.
What to Expect After Registration - Please read carefully
Your Registration Status
Once your registration payment is processed, your enrollment is officially complete. You will receive a welcome email with your student number as well as links to important documents and materials.
Two different things, at two different times. You may receive your Polestar Online login details within a few days of registering.
Important Timeline: Your course materials do not open until approximately one month before your first in-person module — so if you log in earlier than that and the course looks empty, nothing is wrong.

Completion Requirements
Critical Deadline:
2026 structure — courses beginning with a Gateway module. Complete both your prerequisites AND the Gateway Online course before attending your first Gateway module, and bring your completion certificate to that module.
2027 curriculum — courses beginning with Principles of Movement. Before your Principles of Movement day you must watch all Principles of Movement lectures, complete all Requirements or Pre-Requisites for Polestar Courses, and obtain your Principles of Movement book (see Your course books below). There is no Gateway Online course on this curriculum, and no completion certificate to bring.

Your course books
Course manuals are provided by Polestar Pilates Asia at each module — you do not need to buy them. That includes the Mat and Reformer manuals, and the Comprehensive Levels 1–3 and Levels 4–6 textbooks.
2027 curriculum — one book you must obtain yourself. You'll need access to the Principles of Movement book by Dr Brent Anderson before the course begins — print or digital. Most students buy their own copy, but borrowing one is fine. You'll study it throughout the course, starting with your Principles of Movement day.

1. Polestar Student Handbook
Purpose: Guidelines and code of conduct for all Polestar students
Action Required: Read thoroughly and acknowledge your understanding of all policies
2. Polestar Pre-Course Prep
Purpose: Important foundational information to learn before starting your practical training
3. Core Trainee Manual (Anatomy Basics)
Purpose: Foundational anatomy knowledge. This is optional and is one way to fulfill your anatomy requirements. However we do recommend either the Polestar Anatomy course OR the Trail Guide to the Body book. Requirements or Pre-Requisites for Polestar Courses can be found here

Step 4: Join the Mentorship Programme
Eligibility and Benefits
You are automatically eligible for your host's Mentorship Programme upon registration completion. This enables you to take classes at special rates at the host studio for example.
Polestar Pilates Asia Inc. facilitates education over a wide geographical and cultural area by presenting the core training and workshops in “Host Centres” such as the one where this training is taking place. Your Host Centre is the one that you have registered with. The Host Centre is responsible for organizing and facilitating all aspects of your training. Stay in close touch with your Host Centre for all administrative aspects of the course and to find out things like training times, workshop and mentorship sessions/trainings scheduled, fee payment procedures, convenient accommodation if you are from out of town, the continuing education (CEC) programme. Your host centre will do everything that can be reasonably done to make your training as trouble free and productive as possible. You can find out more about our Host Centres here.

Contact Your Host Directly: Reach out using the contact information provided in your registration materials. They should be able to provide you with the Mentorship programme details and fees.
Step 5: Understand Your Student Identification System
Polestar Student Number Assignment
Timeline: Your unique student number will be assigned within one week of registration, in your welcome email.
What to Expect:
Your student number is included in the original welcome email
This number becomes your primary identifier for all Polestar communications
Keep this number easily accessible for future reference

Polestar Faculty
The Polestar educator conducts the actual training. They are responsible for primary instruction of the course curriculum and are often assisted in class by a translator (if required) and Polestar mentors and mentors in training. You might have a different educator for each course module or have the same educator instruct for two or more of your course modules. [If becoming a Polestar mentor or educator is something that interests you, you may approach the educator and he or she will inform you of the process involved. Bear in mind that the training is long and requires considerable effort and commitment. Not everyone who applies is accepted on to the Polestar educator track].
Required Reading
Apart from the documents mentioned above, there is no required reading before your first module. However if you want to get a headstart on books that will be required throughout your course we recommend starting with Return to Life Through Contrology (Paperback), Joseph H. Pilates. Further Reading and Writing assignments will be handed out throughout the course.
